"Starting Our Day in a Positive Way!"
Every day, upon arrival, there are many jobs that the students do independently in order to be ready for the day. As much as we can, we encourage independence and a sense of responsibility with each and every child. We nurture an "I can do it" spirit in our classroom.
You can help to foster your child's independence each and every day by :
-Arriving on the playground at the bell so that s/he has time to complete all arrival activities
-Being sure to return your child's Note Tote back to his/her backpack each morning before school arrives
-When late, allow your child to get take of his/her jobs independently
OUR ARRIVAL ACTIVITIES
We hang up our coats and backpacks in
our cubbies.
We put on our inside shoes.
Library books go in the library bin.
Note Totes are very important.
We put our Note Totes in the bin.
If we forgot them, we let Mrs. Stefani know.
That's our responsibility!
We find our names on the table.
We print our names in the sign in book.
Then we put our name card in the
yellow basket.
We find our photograph on the carpet.
Then we put our photo on the
"How are you feeling today?" board.
It lets our teachers know how we are today.
Then we find a book on the carpet.
We are ready to begin our day!
