Goodbye Mr LeClair

On Mr LeClair's last day he was sent off with a lot of laughs and some "pies" to the face.  If you can imagine, the children found the send off to be quite funny!

And although they were sad to see him go, the class had adjusted well to the change of our new E.A. Ms. McLeod!  At our school we are so fortunate to have wonderful staff!

Valentines week fun!

The children have been very excited about their week.  Not only is it our 100th day of school on Thursday but it is also valentines week.  Don't forget to send in your child's hundred day project for sharing on Thursday!

We have read many heart and love themed books and have sung love based song Including skinnamarink and heart.

We did some conversation heart graphs of our own as well.

Shaving cream mixing

The children continue their love of paint, colour and all things messy.

Shaving cream plus food colouring equals a load of colour mixing fun.

Some children took a total hands on approach while others used tools such as paperclips, q tips and Popsicle sticks to delicately mix and stir their colours together.

Music with Mrs Duff

We started music with Mrs Duff, a 10 week music learning experience for all kindergarten classes at our school.  Lessons are short, but hands on and the children love them.

First we learned about the different notes.

We also sang along as Mrs. Duff played the notes.

For our second lesson we learned the musical scale and played along using some bells.

Tim Hortons Grand Opening

As you can see by the long lines, turning dramatic play into a Tim Hortons was a success!  The students voted on what they wanted it to be.

The lines were long.  Customers came out of the woodwork!

There was always manager on duty making sure tht the customers were happy and that the staff was efficient.

Hmmmm. Do we have enough money for a double double and a donut?

Sometimes service was very slow and employees were told to work faster.

 Tim Hortonsin .... Always fresh!!

We really loved the timbits and the sooo! :-)
